LORTON – Bard Street between Old Colchester Road (Route 611) and Alverton Street will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m. Monday, May 6 to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 9 for stormwater pipe replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Residents within the closure area, emergency vehicles and school buses will have access to the closed portion of Bard Street; however, they will not be able to access Bard Street directly from Old Colchester Road and vice versa.

Through traffic will be detoured via Old Colchester Road, Anita Drive and Alverton Street back to Bard Street.
