VDOT SEEKS ADDITIONAL PUBLIC INPUT ON FUTURE ROUTE 13 (LANKFORD HIGHWAY) CORRIDOR IN TOWN OF ONLEY
Second online survey now available

ACCOMACK COUNTY – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is studying ways to enhance safety, improve mobility and reduce congestion through a Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions (STARS) study along the Route 13 (Lankford Highway) corridor from Redwood Road/Coastal Boulevard to Taylor Road in Accomack County. The second online survey is now open for participation and will remain open until Dec. 17, 2021.

This study proposes accommodations aiming to improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists and transit users, and enhance connectivity along Route 13 in the town of Onley. As a follow up to the first survey held in fall 2021, this survey will gather input on potential solutions to the previously identified needs of the corridor. This second survey will be available through Dec. 17, 2021 at the following link: http://metroquestsurvey.com/mj81
The proposed solutions can then be programmed into the VDOT Six‐Year Improvement Program (SYIP).
Comments regarding the study can also be submitted in writing by contacting
Mr. Jerry Pauley at 7511 Burbage Drive, Suffolk, VA 23435 or [email protected]. Please reference "Route 13 (Lankford Highway) Corridor Improvement Study." Written comments will be accepted through Dec. 17, 2021.
