I-95 SOUTHBOUND LADYSMITH SAFETY REST AREA TRUCK PARKING LOT REOPENED
Trucks, trailers, buses and other oversize vehicles are now permitted to park at the rest area as construction continues to expand the number of spaces

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has reopened the truck parking lot at the Interstate 95 Southbound Ladysmith Safety Rest Area after temporarily closing it to advance construction on the expansion project.

Trucks, trailers, buses and other oversize vehicles are now permitted to park at the rest area, located at mile marker 108 in Caroline County.

Construction will continue to expand the number of parking spaces for trucks and other large commercial vehicles from 20 to 45 spaces.

Crews closed the truck parking lot to accelerate construction activities and safely complete concrete work.

Weather permitting, the truck parking lot expansion project is expected to be complete in summer 2022.
